The Graysville Public Library serves more than just the immediate community.  Among its patrons are students from at least seven elementary schools, five junior high schools, four high schools and four private schools.  Adult readers from all parts of the area, extending from Forestdale to Dora and Warrior, borrow books on a regular basis from the Graysville Library.  Materials in the reference department are used regularly by the students from various colleges in the Birmingham area.  The library has added internet service to the public and also offers a fax service.  The library offers GED classes three days a week.
