In the latter 1800s and early 1900s, the city of Graysville was called Gin Town. Because Graysville has the only cotton gin for miles around, the town and community grew.

In Observance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, ALL CITY OFFICES, COMMUNITY CENTER, LIBRARY AND PUBLIC WORKS WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2018. There will be NO GARBAGE PICK UP THAT DAY. Garbage pickup will resume on Tuesday.
